The Meat Inspection Regulation and Food Safety Act was introduced in 2004, based on a political objective to provide a consistent approach to public health protection in relation to livestock slaughter. Th Future of Food was the theme, the title of the three-day session of the Canadian Federation of Agriculture AGM held in Ottawa earlier this week. It stimulated lots of discussion.
